INSURANCE
Delegates shall be regarded in every aspect as carrying their own risk for loss or injury to person or property, including baggage during the conference. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking your travel you take out a travel insurance policy of your choice. The policy taken should include the loss of deposit through cancellation, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, financial loss incurred through disruptions to accommodation or travel arrangements due to strikes or other industrial action. The policy should also cover you in case of loss in the event the meeting is cancelled for any reason including force majeure. The organisers shall make every effort to realise the event. The organisers are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance. The Scientific Faculty nor The Human Genome Variation Society or Meeting Makers Pty Ltd will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.
DISCLAIMER
The conference organisers reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. The organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term "Force Majeure" means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, natural disasters, outbreak of disease, acts or regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.
REFUND POLICY
The organisers understand that circumstances can change. At any point prior to the event you are welcome to contact us in writing to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge.
Cancellation of Registrations received up to 5th March 2020 will be eligible for a full refund, less a €20 Administration Fee.
Cancellations of Registrations received from 5th April 2020 to 4th April 2020 will be eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations of Registrations received from 5th May onwards will be 100% NON-REFUNDABLE.
