IMPORTANT NOTICE - MEETING CANCELLED

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the HGVS Exceptional Cases of Genome Variation meeting due to take place 5th June in Berlin, Germany.

We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment, to all our attendees and speakers who were due to attend the meeting.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly and there are two overriding concerns that have caused us to make this decision at this time.

First is the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus outbreak - we do not know how long the lockdowns and travel bans will last or when the disease will peak in the communities accross the globe.

Second, due to the uncertainty above the number of registered attendees at this time makes it un-viable to hold the event even if things were to die down by June.

Both of these factors have lead us to the conclusion that we have no option but to cancel this event in Berlin.

Those of you who have made payments for registration you will receive a letter - please look out for it.

The scientific program commitee and I will be working hard to deliver a successful event next year in Glasgow 11th of June 2021 and will update this website with the new details once we know them. We do hope you will be able to join us.

We wish you all the best in these difficult times. You can find out more about COVID-19 on our webpage here.

Best Regards,
